Ignite Mind’s provides quality education and childcare services and recognises that early years education and care is pivotal to the development of intelligent, compassionate and well adjusted adults.
Ujjval and Joanne have impressive experience in education, management and training. They have combined their experience in recruitment and training, their senior positions in Registered Training Organisations, experience chairing boards for Castlemaine Steiner School & Kindergarten and Castlemaine Community House, to provide consultancy under the Australian Council for Private Education and Training umbrella. Ignite Minds is their latest brainchild combining Early Childhood Education and Care, Family Day Care and Quality educational toys under the trading name Dragonfly Toys.
"Our passion has been children's services and early childhood education, and we believe that educating children is one of the best privileges you can have. Ignite Minds has enabled us to be surrounded by Educators and mentors in early childhood, and we never stop learning from them.'
Ignite Minds grew out of Ujjval and Joanne's first business Organisational Learning Australia, which offers a depth of educational training often lacking in some of their competitors in the childcare training field. OLA has an inherent focus on quality in training courses, something typified by their enthusiastic crew of trainers, who all have extensive first-hand experience in the industry, love their work and feel they have found their home at OLA.
Ujjval and Joanne added further depth to their business by establishing Ignite Minds Family Daycare in early 2014. Education has been personally important to Ujjval and Joanne, and offering opportunities to graduates to work in the field of education is a logical extension of their work.
"We have a group of companies that clearly focus on the child," Joanne said.
"Working in this field makes the economics of children and families work. It's child friendly, and it gives adults the opportunity to have immensely rewarding careers."
"Ignite Minds is a great way to encourage early childhood educators to continue their own learning." Joanne said. "Ignite Minds provides an administrative fraimwork that supports and encourages early childhood educators to upskill and be rewarded financially for their committment to their career"
‘The Early Years Learning Framework describes the principles, practice and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children’s learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school. The Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning as play is the best vehicle for young children’s learning providing the most appropriate stimulus for brain development. The Framework also recognises the importance of communication and language (including early literacy and numeracy) and social and emotional development.’ Ignite Minds utilises this framework through strategies that develop a child’s Belonging, Being and Becoming in their world.
Ignite Minds recognises that not all adults have had ideal early years education and seeks partnerships with adults and educators looking to create viable alternatives for our children. Ignite Minds values the intellect, imagination and creativity of childhood. We will Ignite Minds with practical, hands-on activities and environments that encourage creative play for the whole community.
